LionSteel Knives
LionSteel sits in Maniago in northern Italy, the town where knife making has been the local trade for centuries. The company is family run and does something unusual, it machines many handles from a single solid block instead of screwing scales together.
That integral construction is the signature. It costs more to make and it shows in the hand, because there are no gaps, no liners and nothing to work loose. The SR series and the ROK are the clearest examples.
The Thrill deserves a mention on its own. It is a slipjoint with no visible pivot screws at all, which is closer to watchmaking than to knife making.
LionSteel also produces for other brands, so you may already own one of their knives without knowing it.
