MagnaCut does this by using chromium at or near the steel’s saturation level (about 10%), allowing the chromium to fully dissolve into the steel’s matrix and produce a very fine microstructure. The blade is black-coated to reduce reflections. An offset handle and thumb guard enhance safety and transfer power to the cutting edge. The bolted handle scales are made from durable fiber-reinforced nylon (FRN) and feature HK’s textured pattern for a secure grip. The slim, one-piece folded Kydex sheath holds the knife firmly and allows quick access without a separate safety lock.
