'What do Trier, Wiesbaden, Münster and Lüneburg have in common? Beyond their historic city centers, landmarks known far beyond the region and long traditions as important trading towns, they are home to outstanding steelware retailers who have earned their reputations through wide selections and deep expertise. We drew on their decades of experience and everyday knowledge of cooks’ needs when developing the Boker Core series, combining that input with almost 150 years of Solingen knife-making tradition. The result is a knife range with dynamic lines, excellent handling and exceptional cutting performance that has been "recommended by leading retailers."\n\nThe blade blanks are made from a chromium‑molybdenum‑vanadium alloy (X50CrMoV15), hand-forged in Solingen, structurally optimized and hardened to 58 HRC. A traditional hand grind is then highly polished to extend blade life and refine the edge. The forged bolster provides a secure grip and protects the hand in case of a slip. A distinctive feature across the series is the gently rounded spine, which makes the knife comfortable to use in any grip and prevents pressure points on the hand—even when applying strong pressure for a rocking cut. Elegantly patterned, well-proportioned walnut handles complete the cohesive look.\n\nThe long, slim Carving Knife is ideal for precision slicing of meat and fish: it produces extremely fine slices, uniform tranches or neat cubes with ease. Slightly more flexible than many other knives, it glides smoothly through meat for clean, controlled cuts.'
