Echidna—part alluring woman, part fearsome serpent—stands in Greek myth for both danger and fertility. Her many offspring include monsters like the Hydra and the famous Kerberos. French knife designer Raphael Durand delved into this myth with the Boker Plus Kerberos and uncovered more intriguing details along the way. The Boker Magnum Echidna clearly nods to Kerberos: a contoured handle with a finger recess made from a durable, lightweight GRN/TPE blend, a solid backlock and a lanyard hole all underline the connection. Its satin-finished 440B drop-point blade has no opening aid but eagerly handles cutting tasks, and the knife is supplied with a high-quality nylon sheath.
