'The two knives in the Dönges Expert series are purpose-built for heavy-duty rescue work. Both feature red G10 scales with a non-slip Dönges honeycomb texture, D2 steel blades prized for edge retention and corrosion resistance, and an integrated glass breaker. Multiple cutting edges are specifically designed for slicing ropes, harnesses and victims’ clothing.\n\nThe series includes a locking folding knife with two blades and a fixed-blade model. The fixed knife has a double-edged blade with a smoothly ground lower edge and a sharp serrated spine for fibrous materials. A belt cutter is located on the spine just behind the tip. The tip itself is a blunt lever point, purposely ground thin so it can be driven into very narrow gaps—such as nailed boxes or between a jammed fuse-box frame and door—with minimal force. Full-tang construction incorporates distinctive guard elements, the upper one doubling as an integrated cap lifter. Both knives seat securely in the supplied Kydex sheath and can be locked in place with a removable push-button latch made of fiber-reinforced synthetic. The sheath mounts to gear via a modular stainless-steel clip or with cable ties through rivet-reinforced holes.'
