The two knives in the Dönges Expert series are purpose-built for demanding rescue work. Both feature red G10 scales with a non-slip Dönges honeycomb texture, D2 steel blades for excellent edge retention and corrosion resistance, and an integrated glass breaker. They offer multiple cutting edges specifically designed for slicing ropes, cutting harnesses and removing clothing from injured persons. The series includes a fixed knife and a locking folder with two blades. The Expert Fire Folder has two blades that open in opposite directions and lock with a reliable, dirt-resistant liner lock. The spearpoint blade with a half shaft is suited to general cutting tasks, while the rescue blade combines several functional surfaces: a serrated edge for ropes, a lever tip with an integrated nail puller, a belt cutter just behind the tip, and a multifunctional section that includes a bottle opener. Both blades have finger flippers for quick, safe deployment, and the wire clip is adjustable in four positions, as on the Professional series.
