With an average blade length of 4.57 inches, these knives are sized for use while wearing gloves, including heavy heat-protective gloves. The handle scales are made from heat-resistant G10 and feature a non-slip Dönges honeycomb texture. All models include a 4-way reversible pocket clip (tip-up/tip-down, left/right carry), D2 steel blades with excellent edge retention mounted on a ball-bearing axle, jimping at the blade base for working with fibrous materials, a retractable belt cutter and a glass breaker. In the Professional series, the firefighter model is equipped with a universally usable spearpoint blade that can be opened by either a finger flipper or a thumb stud; these models are larger than the Basic line and the belt cutter can be retracted into the handle. The Professional handles are milled with the Dönges honeycomb pattern and finished in red G10.
