CRKT Provoke

The CRKT Provoke, designed by Joe Caswell, brings a new approach to folding knives with its unique Kinematic mechanism. Rather than rotating on a conventional pivot, the hawkbill blade is carried on two articulated arms and swings out parallel to the handle before locking in place. A recessed lever in the handle releases the lock, making deployment and closure simple, intuitive and fast. The handle scales are made from 6061 T6 aluminum, and the 5.3 mm thick blade is D2 steel with a titanium nitride coating. The round pocket clip stays out of the way during use and can be shifted to its parking position or removed with a fingertip. The Provoke’s original concept demonstrates that significant innovation in folding knives is still possible.
