Boker Daily Knives AK1 American Tanto Ultem

'Developed in collaboration with young knifemaker Alex Kremer and Daily Customs, the Boker Daily Knives AK1 is a compact, versatile everyday knife that has already achieved cult status. Alex Kremer, born in Fulda in 1993, began making knives at 18 and still draws inspiration from his many travels across Scandinavia. The AK1 features a short reverse tanto blade forged from powder-metallurgical CPM MagnaCut (61–62 HRC), a high-performance steel that pairs strong corrosion resistance with excellent edge retention. The ergonomically shaped handle scales are made of Ultem, a high-performance thermoplastic with a striking semi-transparent amber appearance. The scales are easily removed with the supplied Torx key and can be swapped for a variety of alternative scales developed with Daily Customs. The finely machined lanyard hole can be rotated and concealed inside the handle when the scales are removed. The blade and full tang are made from MagnaCut with minimal tolerances, allowing quick customization and modification to suit personal preferences. The knife is supplied with a premium black leather sheath fitted with a sewn-in Ulticlip and locking spring clip for secure attachment to the pocket hem—allowing the AK1 to be drawn while the sheath remains in place.
