'As one of four smiths, the dwarf Dvalin forged the necklace Brisingamen for the Germanic love goddess Freya; in Norse myth the jewel is associated with magic, love, but also sorrow—Freya’s tears are said to bring abundant harvests, while Odin’s wrath often drove her to kindle wars among humans. Inspired by Nordic smithing, Dirk Hofmeister of Midgards Messer created the pocketknife version of the popular Little Dvalin: the Dvalin Folder Drop. It features a compact build and a ball-bearing drop-point blade in D2 steel, finished in a rugged stonewash and fitted with a pronounced, double-sided hollow grind serving as a nail nick. Spine jimping provides a secure thumb rest for demanding cuts. The well-shaped, partly textured G10 handle sits confidently in the hand despite the gods’ fury; a stainless-steel frame lock on the back reliably secures the blade. A right-side tip-up pocket clip echoes the handle texture, and a lanyard hole increases carrying options. Supplied with a high-quality nylon pouch for storage.'
