The Boker Plus Kihon DC, designed by American custom knifemaker Lucas Burnley, translates the Japanese concept of kihon — the fundamentals of martial arts — into a practical, down-to-earth everyday knife. Its straightforward design emphasizes utility and offers excellent value. The drop-point D2 blade has a black Ti coating and opens smoothly from either side via a removable thumb stud and ball-bearing pivot, while a crossbar (bar) lock ensures secure, intuitive operation. The textured, non-slip handle is made from glass-fiber-reinforced nylon and sits comfortably in the hand, and the all-black finish gives the knife a restrained look. The 2.0 versions are about 15% lighter, making them suitable as a lightweight full-size EDC, and the knife includes a lanyard hole and a convertible tip-up wire clip for flexible carry.
