'Spyderco’s popular SLIPIT line combines everyday-carry convenience and one-handed opening with the benefits of a non-locking blade. The newest model, the Metropolitan, sits neatly between the UK Penknife and the compact Urban in size and retains the same key features: the signature thumb hole for easy one-handed opening with either hand, a pocket clip for carry, and a non-locking notch joint mechanism. Its fully flat-ground, leaf-shaped blade is forged from Böhler-Uddeholm M398, a particle-metallurgy stainless steel known for exceptional hardness and edge retention. The blade includes a textured index-finger choil for added safety, and the lightweight handle is molded from fiberglass-reinforced nylon (FRN). The clip is reversible for tip-up carry.'
