'For the 3rd season of the YouTube survival format 7 vs. Wild—where seven teams must survive in the wilderness with self-chosen gear—the team "Naturensöhne" opted for another knife from Boker. Gerrit and Andy value the many functions packed into the compact multifunction pocketknife Boker Plus Naturensöhne MK. II. This special model was customized to their specifications, so only the essential tools for a 14-day stay in Canada are included. \n\nThe main blade, made from Swedish Sandvik 12C27 steel with a hollow grind, is the ideal complement to their sturdy fixed blade for fine cutting tasks. It handles precise cutting and carving, gutting fish when building shelters, and even turning hex screws and union nuts if needed—because you never know what situations or materials you’ll encounter. \n\nThe wood saw slices branches cleanly and with little effort; its steel and tooth geometry also make it suitable for cutting through long bones, deer horn, and plastic. The included sewing/drilling awl can bore holes in wood, bone, deer horn, and plastic, punch through set knots, perforate leather, and work on or clear cracks and grooves. Hidden discreetly in the two black G10 scales is a plastic toothpick for outdoor hygiene, while the tweezers on the opposite side remove thorns, splinters, and the like. A glass breaker and a deep-carry pocket clip are, of course, standard features on every tech tool.'
