Founded in 1981, U.S. company Spyderco built its reputation on adopting higher-performance blade steels. It now sets a new standard with CPM-SPY27, a powder-metallurgical stainless steel developed in partnership with Crucible Industries. Comparable to CPM-S30VN, CPM-SPY27 is harder yet easier to sharpen and is reserved for Spyderco’s U.S.-made models, which are identifiable by their distinctive cobalt-blue handles. The Para 3 Lightweight is an ultra-light pocket knife designed for everyday and tactical use. Its ergonomic FRN handle features the familiar bi-directional texture for a comfortable, secure grip, and the reversible deep-carry wire clip (tip-up, left or right) further reduces weight.
