With a medium-heavy head, this Hultafors hunting classic is ideal for lighter forestry tasks and precise game skinning, making it a reliable hunting companion. Hand-forged from carbon steel at the Hults Bruk forge, it continues a forging tradition that dates back to 1697. The axe is named after Gunnar Ekelund, the landowner who introduced large-scale axe production at Hults Bruk between 1870 and 1875. Its curved handle is made from shock-absorbing American hickory for comfortable, fatigue-free work, and it is supplied with a high-quality leather sheath.
