Designed by Alessandra De Santis of Hydra Design—a division of Hydra Armaments, a family-owned company from northern Italy that specializes in weapon accessories and tactical equipment—this pocket knife reflects its creator’s broad experience. De Santis has collected, tested, and reviewed knives since age 14, authored numerous articles for trade magazines, and, as an industrial chemist, brings deep knowledge of steels and materials; she is also a firearms enthusiast and Filipino Martial Arts practitioner, and her combined expertise informs the Yokai’s modern design.\n\nThe blade is D2 steel with a durable black coating, opens via a flipper, and locks securely with a robust liner lock. The handle scales feature a modern honeycomb texture for a reliable grip in adverse conditions, plus a ribbed thumb ramp and an ergonomic index-finger recess for added control.
